{"id":1023,"date":"2022-05-10T15:40:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-10T20:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phillips66.com\/newsroom\/midstream-safety-honor-is-twice-as-nice\/"},"modified":"2022-08-24T11:09:06","modified_gmt":"2022-08-24T16:09:06","slug":"midstream-safety-honor-is-twice-as-nice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phillips66.com\/newsroom\/midstream-safety-honor-is-twice-as-nice\/","title":{"rendered":"<span class=\"nowrap\">Phillips 66<\/span> Midstream safety honor is twice as nice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the second year in a row, Phillips 66 Pipeline has been recognized as one of the midstream industry\u2019s safest operators.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The wholly owned Midstream subsidiary of Phillips 66 received the American Petroleum Institute\u2019s Distinguished Pipeline Safety Award in the large-operator category.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Phillips 66 Pipeline\u2019s safety performance in 2021 included a second straight year without an employee recordable injury, and its safest year yet with a combined total recordable incident rate of 0.03.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur workforce\u2019s deep commitment to safety and operational excellence every day is reflected in our results,\u201d said <strong>Tim Roberts<\/strong>, Executive Vice President, Midstream. \u201cWe achieved this outstanding performance in yet another challenging year, when we navigated the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic as well as natural disasters such as Hurricane Ida and Winter Storm Uri.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Phillips 66 focused its efforts on pipeline integrity by replacing and rerouting pipelines throughout its 22,000-mile-plus system. It also safely executed pipeline projects that strengthened its natural gas liquids presence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>API praised Philips 66 for advancing safety by implementing new technologies that improve efficiency and reliability and for taking a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>API President and CEO Mike Sommers said Phillips 66 and the other winners are raising the bar for safety and placing a \u201cpremium on improvement, innovation and sharing knowledge and best practices across the
