The Humber Refinery is located on the east coast of England in North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, approximately 180 miles north of London. Humber\u2019s facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, hydrodesulfurization, thermal cracking and delayed coking units. The refinery has two coking units with associated calcining plants. Humber is the only coking refinery in the United Kingdom, and a producer of high-quality specialty graphite and anode-grade petroleum cokes. The refinery also produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. The majority of the light oils produced by the refinery are distributed to customers in the United Kingdom by pipeline, railcar and truck, while the other refined petroleum products are exported throughout the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The Humber Refinery is situated very close to the village of South Killingholme, a community of around 2,000 residents. The refinery\u2019s Community Advisory Panel, the Killingholme Area Advisory Group (KAAG), was established in 2002 with a focus on being a good neighbour and sharing information with the local community. The goal of the KAAG is to promote a better understanding of business at the refinery, our health, environment, safety and quality philosophy; to show that we are mindful of the proximity of the refinery to local residents and that we are committed to being a good neighbour. We are proactive in addressing concerns raised by the group and encourage an open dialogue on matters of importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
