{"id":19650,"date":"2023-06-20T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-20T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phillips66.com\/?p=19650"},"modified":"2024-11-19T12:46:03","modified_gmt":"2024-11-19T18:46:03","slug":"phillips-66s-drive-for-an-inclusive-workforce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phillips66.com\/newsroom\/phillips-66s-drive-for-an-inclusive-workforce\/","title":{"rendered":"Unlocking potential, embracing diversity: <span class=\"nowrap\">Phillips 66<\/span>\u2019s drive for an inclusive workforce"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>An inclusive and diverse workforce drives business performance, helping to position Phillips 66 for the energy future, two company executives told attendees at the Reuters Downstream USA conference in Galveston in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPeople are our competitive advantage,\u201d said Todd Denton, Senior Vice President of HSE &amp; Field Operations. \u201cWe want to encourage them to think big, think boldly and bring their ideas to the table.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Reuters conference featured a 30-minute conversation between Denton and Brenda Brinson, General Manager of Culture &amp; People Strategy and Chief Diversity Officer, in which the two discussed the evolution and importance of I&amp;D across the workplace. At Phillips 66, I&amp;D has been a major point of focus, resulting in a more diverse executive leadership team and Board, among other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While inclusion and diversity have different monikers at other companies such as DEI, the ordering at Phillips 66 is intentional. \u201cWithout inclusion, diversity can\u2019t thrive,\u201d Brinson said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brinson said belonging is the top engagement driver at Phillips 66, ensuring employees feel valued and connected.
