{"id":68700,"date":"2025-09-22T15:30:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T20:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phillips66.com\/?p=68700"},"modified":"2025-09-24T13:52:27","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T18:52:27","slug":"2025-westjet-rydstrom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phillips66.com\/newsroom\/2025-westjet-rydstrom\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations to Linda Rydstrom for Celebrating 50 Years at Westjet Air Center"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Linda Rydstrom, President and CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phillips66.com\/newsroom\/2023-westjet\/\">Westjet Air Center<\/a>, Inc. at Rapid City Regional Airport (KRAP), is celebrating an incredible milestone this year as she marks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westjetair.com\/about-us\/50th-anniversary\/\">50 years with the company<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image align wp-block-psx-widen-image\">\n\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/phillips66.widen.net\/content\/4cho8x3ffm\/jpeg\/Image-2025-09-20%2014_01_56.jpeg?w=640&#038;keep=c&#038;crop=yes&#038;color=cccccc&#038;quality=100&#038;u=4ny3tt&#038;retina=true\"   alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As a role model to many, Linda has grown alongside the FBO over five decades, holding a variety of roles, including flight instructor, director of operations, and check airman for Westjet\u2019s Part 135 certificate, corporate accountant, and president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Throughout her career, Linda pursued education and professional development<\/strong>, which proved invaluable when she medically retired from flying in 2006 after accumulating over 16,000 flight hours. <strong>That foundation helped her transition into leadership roles<\/strong>, and today, she continues to lead Westjet and serve on the <strong>Phillips 66<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Aviation Advisory Council<\/strong>, as well as other aviation boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda\u2019s impact reaches beyond the FBO. Together with her husband, Don, she launched a scholarship in partnership with a local flight school to support the next generation of aviators.
